Learn More About Transcripts
You can request that your official transcript be sent
electronically from your high school to the college you wish to
attend.
Post-secondary institutions
A list of colleges and universities that are currently accepting
live transcripts through the electronic transcript exchange.
How does requesting transcripts work?
- In the Request Transcript Account Information page, select your
high school.
- Select the post-secondary institution. If your post-secondary
institution is not shown in the list, select the destination "Not
on list". A "Not on list" request takes you through a series of
screens to select a destination from an extensive list of
nationwide post-secondary institutions.
- Click "Continue".
- What'sNextIllinois will determine if your high school accepts
online transcript requests.
- Your high school electronically uploads and approves releasing
your transcript to the destination you requested.
- Colleges in the Transcript Exchange will download your
transcript directly from the Transcript Exchange. Colleges outside
the Transcript Exchange are either notified via e-mail to download
your transcript from a website or they receive your transcript as a
hardcopy through US mail.
- After submitting a transcript request, you can track the
request's status on the History page. You can see the colleges to
which you've requested release of your transcript, when you
submitted your request, and the status of each request.
Please note that there may be a charge to send your transcript
to a college outside the state of Illinois or a school that is not
participating in the Transcript Exchange.
